One of the greatest diss tracks of all time, "ShEther" has been pulled from all streaming services, internet and radio play. Nicki Minaj is signed to Republic, whose owned by Universal Music Group, who owns the rights to Nas’s “Ether” song. The label had an issue with Remy Ma using the “Ether” song to make her diss towards Nicki, leading them to pull the song.
Remy never got permission to use the song. (SMH)
The song was already getting radio play, charting on iTunes and making a little money. So now, Remy's diss track is banned from airplay and Remy can’t perform the song either.
But on the bright side, Nas had nothing to do with the song getting pulled - he is a fan.
But being that this is the label that Nicki is signed to… sounds a little sketchy.
And how ironic that Nicki NOW drops her “reply”…
