It was recently announced that the NBA would hold their very first NBA Awards to honor the game and the players within it. Young Money's (& October's) very own Drake was chosen to host the special event, which may or may not come as a surprise since he seems to always be around athletes and who could forget that he hosted the ESPY Awards back in 2014. And he didn't do bad at all, so I am here for it! As far as performances (because what would an award show be without them?), Nicki Minaj is the first name to be released. This part could be good or bad news for you depending on how you felt about Nicki's most recent performance on the Billboard Awards. I personally think its interesting to have Nicki be performing at the NBA Awards but I am excited to see it. The outfits. The song selection. Everything. No word on if any others will be added to the list or not, but as of now, looks like Young Money will be dominating the NBA Awards on June 26 at 9 p.m. on TNT. The awards will be live from Pier 36 in New York City. View the full list of nominees here.
