New information has been received on the fatal car accident tennis Olympian Venus Williams was involved in. The family of Jerome Barson, the 78-year-old man who was killed in the accident, asked for Venus's phone records first to see if she was texting and driving or just distracted as she approached the intersection. The family's rep, Michael Steinger, says they have now retrieved the black box from Venus's SUV which showed them that Venus went from 0 to 19.9 mph in about 4 seconds as she pulled through the intersection. The box reveals that Venus was going about 20 mph when the Barson's T-boned her SUV, but Venus told police she was only going 5 mph. The family's rep says from his point of view, Venus probably "looked up, saw the red light and gunned it." The video of the accident was released awhile ago, so this is still being used to see exactly what happen and to piece the story together. The question is still, is Venus at fault for the accident? Usher Raymond has been in the news heavy this week under bad light. As for last night during the "Late Late Show with James Corden", the singer seemed very relaxed strolling through the streets with the late night host singing some of his old songs, teaching James the "cool" way to walk in the club and even stopping to clean his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Many people probably clicked the link in hopes of hearing the singer speak on the recent STD allegations, but this was just simple good ol' fun! Check it out! Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that him and the military experts in his corner have decided that transgenders are no longer allowed in any branch of the military. His reason being that transgenders have too many medical expenses that the government pays for and the military can no longer be "burdened" with the "disruption" of transgenders. This comes as no surprise from our president who wants to ban travelers from muslim-majority countries, or who wants to take away planned parenthood from women or who wants to cut programs for the "sick and shut in" like "Meals on Wheels" or who also wants to cut before and after school programs. This is just another way of cutting money from areas he feels are unneeded to add to his budget for military weapons. I can tell you one thing, this won't go over good. Not at all. Last week, a woman who had sex with Usher this year (in April to be exact) found out just like the rest of us, that Usher has herpes which he was diagnosed with around 2009-2010. Her original lawsuit, which was filed over the weekend, was for $10 million after learning the singer gave the STD to another woman. Jane Doe, the name she is going by, says the singer "exposed" her to the STD and she would have never had sex with Usher if she knew he had the virus. That was all before she was confirmed with having herpes. Jane Doe says she immediately was tested after seeing the leaked lawsuit files, and on Saturday received her positive test results. According to TMZ, Jane Doe has now upped her wanted amount to $20 million for emotional harm and medical bills, plus another $20 for damages. Usher's camp has not responded. The hit Netflix series Stranger Things is back!! The official trailer for the second season first aired at Comic-Con this past weekend, which officially starts the countdown to October 27th, the premiere date of Stranger Things. If you were too cool to give into the hype of the first season, you might want to take these next few month to binge watch because I promise you, this is a bandwagon you'll want to be on. The show follows 4 boys around the age of 12 in the year 1983. One of the boys goes missing, sending his 3 best friends on a crazy and chilling adventure to find out exactly what happened to him. Things get weirder when the group finds a girl around their age with no hair, no family and nothing to ever say, but she does have cool super powers and she might know where their missing friend is. If you like weird, mind-twisting shows with creatures, this show is for you. And if you don't know if that sounds interesting to you or not, at least give it a try! |
