We live in a time where social media dictates or validates things in this world. Whether its celebrity news or if someone is in a relationship or not – apparently social media tells all things real!
Valentine’s Day just passed and instead of seeing love spread on my different timeline’s of social media, I see hate and angry people. Seems like most people were upset by the number of relationship they saw that they didn’t even know existed. From that, came people now saying those relationships are fake. Then of course people joked, saying some people’s girls/guys are hidden until Valentine’s Day. Now sometimes, it is true. Some people are in fake relationships or don’t want people to know they are in a relationship just so they can cheat easier. These type of situations will always happen because some people are simply, “Aint Shit.” BUT! On the other hand, you have people who simply do not feel the need to live their lives on social media. Just because you don’t see someone’s girlfriend/boyfriend/new boo on social media until Valentine’s Day (or another holiday) does not mean this relationship is not real or a joke. Some people just don’t feel the need to broadcast their every move or have something so sacred like a relationship ruined by the evils of social media. Some people like privacy and to show things when THEY feel the need. There is a time and place for all things. On the flip side, a person who feels the need to constantly post their relationship on social media isn’t always in the best relationship. There are plenty of dudes who post their girls but are still sliding in DMs or still f*cking other people. Females these days need people to see their relationship on social media because they think thats gonna keep other females away. They see it as a sign saying “HE’S MINE – KEEP AWAY”. When in all reality, there are plenty of girls who don’t care or who get a thrill out of seeing you in the streets knowing they f*cked your man. And you’re just smiling thinking your man is YOURS. Please just know, it is okay for people to want to live their lives and have privacy. People are not obligated to let you know when they are in a relationship. A silent relationship isn’t fake just like a constantly posted relationship isn’t always real or going well. Some people love posting their significant other, and that is fine. Just like not want to post it is fine too. Just like some girls feel better about themselves and relationship when their man posts them lol SOCIAL MEDIA IS SIMPLY WHAT PEOPLE CHOOSE FOR YOU TO SEE. PLEASE KNOW, SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT VALIATE ALL THINGS. PEOPLE ARE ENTITLED TO THEIR PRIVACY.
